Aixa isn't in the App Store - it's a web app, which means you install it straight from Safari in about 30 seconds. Here's exactly how, and how to make sure your data stays safe.
Open Aixa in Safari →Aixa must be opened in Safari - not Chrome, Firefox, or any other browser. This is an Apple requirement: only Safari can add web apps to your Home Screen properly.
In Safari, tap the Open Aixa in Safari button at the top of this page - or type aixawallet.app into the address bar and tap Go. The app opens immediately in your browser - no download needed. You can start adding a trip right now if you like.
At the bottom of the Safari screen, tap the Share button - a box with an arrow pointing upward out of it. A menu slides up from the bottom.
If you don't see the toolbar, scroll up slightly first - Safari hides it when you scroll down.
Scroll down the share menu until you see Add to Home Screen and tap it. You'll see a preview with the name "Aixa Travel Wallet" - leave it as-is and tap Add in the top right corner.
This is important: always open Aixa by tapping the icon on your Home Screen - not by typing the address into Safari again. Opening via the Safari address bar creates a separate session with its own storage. Your data won't be there.
Once installed, Aixa works completely offline - on the plane, underground, abroad on roaming. Everything you've added is right there, because nothing is stored on a server. There's nothing to sync or fetch.
Your Aixa data lives in Safari's local storage on your device. If you go to Settings - Safari - Clear History and Website Data, it will wipe Aixa's data along with everything else.
The same applies if you delete the Aixa icon from your Home Screen - that removes the app and its data with it. If you ever want to remove it, export a backup first (see Part 3 below).
Because Aixa has no server and no account, your device is the only place your data exists. If you lose your phone, upgrade to a new one, or accidentally clear Safari's data, your trips are gone - unless you've exported a backup.
This isn't a flaw. It's the same privacy-first design that means nobody else can ever see your travel plans. But it does mean the backup step is down to you, and it's worth doing regularly.
Inside the app, tap Settings (the cog icon, bottom right), then tap Export. The app will generate a backup file and hand it to iOS's share sheet.
Save it somewhere off your device:
The backup is a small file containing all your trips, bookings, and settings. Photos are stored separately and are not included - back those up via your normal iPhone photo backup.
On a new phone, or after something went wrong: open Aixa from the Home Screen icon, go to Settings, and tap Import. Find your backup file in Files or iCloud Drive and tap it. Your trips and bookings will be restored immediately.
Before a trip is a good habit - you'll have a clean copy of everything you planned. After a trip is even better, so your records are preserved. If you've spent an evening adding a lot of bookings, a quick export before you close the app takes about five seconds.
